BOILERMAKERS & WELDERS
THE OPPORTUNITIES
Plenty of ongoing, long term (3+ months) opportunities over the next two months for experienced and committed Boilermakers & Certified Welders, Workshop Fabricators & Welders, Sheetmetal Machine Operators & Site Installers, across high profile infrastructure projects including RPA & Westmead Hospitals, Sydney CBD & brand new Rail & Light Rail stations and trackwork, New Tunnels segments, Schools across Sydney and more
Four temp to perm opportunities exist with a high profile Engineering client, for those with an exceptional skillset and substantial experience with structural installations building high-value infrastructure & commercial projects
Two positions will favour those with leadership qualities and people management skills and experience, with salaries negotiable
DAILY DUTIES
- Fabrication and assembling of metal compenents and structures according to technical drawings and project specs
- Maintain and operate power tools, hot torches, and all equipment in a skilled, safe and efficient manner
- Perform welding in accordance with approved codes, able to pass QA testing
- Carry out basic maintenance, equipment upkeep procedures and duties to ensure WHS protocols are maintained
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project delivery
- Uphold workshop safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Be committed to working in a team and with minimal supervision
PAY RATES
- Experience & Qualifications dependent
- PAYG and ABN available
- ABN $60-70 per hour + Daily Travel + Overtime
- PAYG $50-57 per hour + Super + Daily Travel + Overtime
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Trade Qualified in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience with structural steel fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints efficiently
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues
- Ability to follow instructions and accurately and safely complete tasks assigned
- Competent use of all tools, equipment and machinery related to your Trade
- Competent Welding skills, particularly MIG & Stick
- Great communication skills, both written & verbal
- Able to understand and work to all OHS & safety requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Full PPE, basic tools & welding helmet
- A Current CV + Two recent, relevant employer references
